Hi Steve,
My uncle (my
father’s brother) passed away years ago and
when my aunt died last year, I inherited all
items relating to my Uncle Leon. Among his
things is a hard bound book titled 33
Division Pictorial History Camp Forrest
1941-1942.
Is this
something someone would be interested in
having?
Please let me
know and if not, I will likely donate it to
Goodwill unless you have another suggestion
for me.
My uncle was a
trumpet player and I cannot find him within
the pages so perhaps he had the book for
pictures of some men he knew from Chicago.
His name was Leon Ruby and he was on the
board of the Chicago Musicians Union for
many years in the 80’s, was married to Bea
Abbott Ruby who was a singer and they
performed often at the Playboy Club and the
Gaslight Club.
Hope to hear
from you as to any suggestions you may have.
Best wishes for
a healthy, happy New Year.
Eileen Ruby
