Hello
Steve, Carol, John and Bob!
My name is Sarah Halasz, and I'm an
associate producer with FlashRock Films in
Chicago. We're a television production
company, and we're currently working on a
series of historical documentaries for CNBC.
I'm writing to you all in the hopes that you
can help me out with something.
One of the programs we're working on is a
profile of Jack Daniel's. As you probably
know, Jack Daniel's is manufactured just a
few miles down the road from Camp Forrest in
Lynchburg, Tennessee. Jack Daniel's
historians often credit the influx of
soldiers to Camp Forrest during WWII with
increasing the demand for the brand during
the mid-20th century. As part of the
documentary, we would love to use some of
the photographs you've posted on
campforrest.com to help depict life at
Camp Forrest during the war and to help tell
this part of our story.
I'm attaching copies of the specific images
we're hoping to use. Can you all take a
look? Each photo will be featured during the
program when it airs nationwide, so let me
know if we have permission to use them.
Thanks so much for considering my request.
If any of you have questions about the
program, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm
including my contact details below.
Best wishes,
Sarah Halasz
