Hello Steve,
My name is
Helmut Stoll Jr., I live in south of
Germany.
I found in my
fathers letters also a Christmas card of
Camp Forrest, which I send to you in the
attachment.
My father was a
POW who was arrested by American Forces in
Tunesia in spring 1943.
He was a
communication technician within the German
Africa corps.
He was in the
following POW camps in US: Camp Opelika,
Fort Benning and Camp Forrest.
I assume Camp
Forrest was the last camp before he was
moved to a POW camp in Rennes, France in
1946.
He came back to
Germany in January 1949.His name was Helmut
Stoll, passed away in 1998.
