Hi Steve!
Here is a little more Camp Forrest
information
for your new website, which looks good.
When I arrived at the camp in October
1942 I was assigned to Company L, 317th
Infantry Regiment of the 80th
Division.
I’m
attaching two pictures that were taken
in the “Day Room” of Company L showing
some soldiers relaxing. I don’t know the
names of two men playing checkers, only
that the one on the right was the
company mail orderly.
Also a
couple of pencil sketches I made, one of
the barracks area at dawn, and the other
of a crap game.
I’ll try to come up with more info if I
can.
Louis
