Dear Sir;
I am writing to see if you might have a list
of the men that were stationed at Camp
Forrest, Tennessee. The only thing I have
that mentions Camp Forrest is a letter to my
grandparents.
The heading on the letter:
Headquarters Battery, 2nd Battalion
168th Field Artillery
Camp Forrest, Tennessee
This letter was dated June 2, 1941, subject
of the letter "Earnings: Pvt. Wesley D.
Lindsly."
The letter was to certify that Pvt. Wesley
D. Lindsly holds the rating of Specialist
3rd Class (Auto Mechanic) and for such
rating receives $50.00 per month.
Letter was signed by:
Claude S. Thompson
Capt., 168th F. A.
Comdg Hq. Btry., 2nd Bn.
This is all that I know about my father at
Camp Forrest.
